NiaHealth offers private blood testing across Nova Scotia with no referral. Your blood is drawn at home by a Dynacare mobile phlebotomist, twice a year, and a nurse practitioner licensed in Nova Scotia explains your results.

A Dynacare mobile phlebotomist comes to your home or office anywhere they reach in Nova Scotia, for $100 a draw ($200 a year for both).

A clinician licensed in Nova Scotia orders your tests and reviews your results. A nurse practitioner then walks you through them in a virtual consult.

DEXA scans aren't available in Nova Scotia yet. VO2 max tests are available in Halifax. The Inflammation Panel isn't available in Nova Scotia. Every other add-on works across the province.

Private, not billed to your provincial health plan

Tests are ordered and reviewed by clinicians licensed in Nova Scotia.

Yes. When you join NiaHealth, a clinician licensed in Nova Scotia orders your tests, so you don't need a referral from a family doctor or walk-in clinic.

No. NiaHealth is a private membership, so it isn't billed to your provincial health plan. The membership is HSA-eligible, and many private health plans reimburse it, so check with your provider.

At your home or office, with a Dynacare mobile phlebotomist, for $100 a draw. NiaHealth doesn't offer in-clinic draws in Nova Scotia. Mobile phlebotomists can't reach every area, so contact us before you book if you live outside a major centre.

DEXA scans aren't offered in Nova Scotia yet. VO2 max tests are available in Halifax. VO2 max tests are booked as an add-on with a NiaHealth membership. If a test isn't offered near you, contact us and we can help you book it in another province.

Tests are ordered and reviewed by clinicians licensed in Nova Scotia. After your first draw, you book a virtual consult with a nurse practitioner, who walks you through your results and builds your action plan.

Most results are ready in your dashboard 5 to 9 days after your draw. You can then book your consult with a nurse practitioner.
