APOE Genetic Test
Stack this specialty add-on test on top of your baseline blood panel to better understand how your genes influence long-term brain and cardiovascular health.
This test analyzes the APOE gene, the most well-established genetic risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer’s disease, while also providing insight into how your body processes cholesterol and fats—a key driver of heart health. Results are never diagnostic and never delivered alone.
You’ll meet 1:1 with a NiaHealth genetic counsellor before and after testing to understand what the test can (and cannot) tell you, and how to interpret results in real life.
Your insights are integrated into your NiaHealth dashboard and reviewed by our clinical team to help guide proactive, evidence-informed prevention strategies.
This is about clarity—not prediction—and empowering informed, thoughtful long-term health planning.
- APOE genetic testing using a simple at-home cheek swab.
- Identification of APOE variants (e2, e3, e4) and what they mean for inherited Alzheimer’s risk and lipid metabolism.
- Pre- and post-test 1:1 sessions with a NiaHealth genetic counsellor.
- Personalized brain- and heart-health insights placed in clinical context.
- Evidence-informed guidance focused on modifiable factors such as cardiovascular health, sleep, lifestyle, hearing, and cognitive engagement.

Better together
We don't believe in single tests in isolation, nor DIY guesswork. That's why your NiaHealth clinician is here to help you identify patterns, personalize action plans, and help you feel better now while lowering risk for tomorrow.

Why it matters
APOE is a risk factor—not a diagnosis—but understanding it can help inform smarter, earlier prevention strategies.
Because heart and brain health are deeply connected, APOE insights can support more personalized, proactive long-term planning.

Consider if you...

Track compounding progress
Every specialty add-on test includes a human clinician who reviews your data and writes a hyper-personalized report.
The best part? All your data is in one place on your secure dashboard: your blood biomarker results, integrated wearable & health app data, and specialty test scores, together for compound effect, and guided by human clinician-written insights.

APOE doesn’t determine your future. It helps us understand where prevention matters most, so we can focus on the things that truly move the needle over time.
