CANRISK — Canadian Diabetes Risk Questionnaire

For educational purposes only. Not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. CANRISK was developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

What this score measures

CANRISK estimates the probability of currently having pre-diabetes or undiagnosed type 2 diabetes. It uses age, sex, body measurements, lifestyle, and health history — no blood work required. A score of 21 or higher suggests you may benefit from a blood sugar test.

Developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada and validated in a multi-ethnic Canadian population. Low risk is reassuring, but regular check-ins with a clinician remain the gold standard.
