NiaHealth Launches Genetic Testing

Our genes help shape how we age. They influence how we process nutrients, respond to medications, and our risk of common conditions like diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

Recent research continues to show that genetics plays an important role in longevity. At the same time, it reminds us that aging and health are complex, shaped by many genes interacting with environment, lifestyle, and time.

Genes matter. But knowing that genetics matters is not the same as knowing how to test it responsibly.

At NiaHealth, we’re excited about the role genetics can play in prevention, and equally committed to using it thoughtfully. That’s why we’re launching genetic testing with an enthusiastic but measured approach. Here’s what’s guiding us:

1. We choose tests with purpose.

We focus on high-quality genetic tests that answer clear preventive questions and are supported by strong evidence.

2. We work with trusted, clinical-grade labs.

We partner with accredited labs that meet medical standards for accuracy, reporting, and data protection. Whenever possible, we take a Canada-first approach to support privacy, accountability, and continuity within the healthcare system.

3. We pair testing with genetic counselling.

Every genetic test includes support from a certified genetic counsellor. We’ll explain what your results mean, what they do not mean, and how they fit into long-term health planning.

4. We integrate results into your health picture.

Genetics is one piece of a complex puzzle. We integrate genetic results with biomarkers, lifestyle data, and clinical history so they make sense to you and remain meaningful over time.

5. We follow the science.

Genetics is evolving quickly. We will continue to expand testing options when the evidence supports it. When the science is early or uncertain, we will say so.

We’re bringing genetics into NiaHealth with curiosity, care, and respect for the complexity of human health. Not to chase trends, but to help people understand themselves better and make informed choices that hold up over time.

More to come as we roll this out.
