What is it?
Acinetoacter baumannii are antibiotic resistant bacteria that can cause dangerous infection in people who have long stays in the hospital that require multiple rounds of antibiotics [1]. They will rarely cause issues in health people but it is still worth keeping them in check [2].
We consider low or undetectable levels of A. baumannii to be optimum. The best way to combat A. baumannii is to encourage the growth of beneficial bacteria that will outcompete them for resources.
